Doll's storage

Four years ago we started a project for Grace and have just now finished it! The project was mostly done and completely usable but we did not put in the last detail until today. I first saw this project in a Martha Stewart Kids magazine and thought it was not only cute but useful in several different ways. It's a chest outfitted to house all of Grace's doll's clothes and accessories.

We bought an unfinished chest and painted it (white on the outside, pink on the inside), put a cushion on the top and installed molding on the inside to hold a divided tray. Two tension rods hold the doll's clothes. My Mom just finished sewing the canvas pocket panel to put on the inside of the lid (I had never gotten her measurements before to finish the project!). It's now a window seat when closed and a wonderful - and organized - storage chest on the inside.
