Repurposed sheet

A few weeks ago, as I was going through a give away pile, I came across an old sheet set. I'm not entirely sure where it came from. I would venture to guess that it used to be Bryce's (Marilyn does it look familiar?). I was struck by the thought that it was a cool vintage/retro-y pattern and that it would be great for camping or outdoor use. I asked my mom if she could sew a tablecloth from the flat sheet (I know, I know-I've really got to learn to sew). Not only did she sew a tablecloth for our picnic table but she also made napkins! I really like how it turned out and I feel like I did some serious recycling.

P.S. These daisies came from the children's garden!

  1. Well, don't you know I do happen to recognize that pattern. It was ours when the children were small. You sure surprised me with this one. I had no idea it was still in existence. Isn't 'repurposing' a hoot!

  2. I also recognize that sheet. amazing!!
did we use it in the back of the pickup/topper at anytime? or did I just see it in your bedroom.
