Our girl got braces!  I now officially feel as if we are hurtling toward teenage-hood!  Of course, we think she looks darling, but I won't pretend that she didn't shed a tear or two about getting them.  I was a little worried as she has always has some sensitivity issues, but aside from needing to take some Advil, she has weathered the toughest part rather well!

Bryce took her out for a little post braces Starbucks date.

I made a little treat for her to celebrate this milestone.

And I love how she has embraced the braces and a positive attitude!  She made this little note for herself and attached it to her bed.

  1. She looks beautiful! Straight teeth are so important.

  2. Grace looks undaunted. One more challenge she's meeting head on. Hopefully she will have healthy teeth for life. It's a blessing the care these days is so much improved. Keep up the good attitude, Grace!

  3. Awe... isn't she the sweetest. I love her little note. And I love that you made her a special cookie!

  4. The first few days of having braces can be painful and frustrating. But things will start to settle down in the next few weeks, and Grace seems to be adapting well to the braces. In any case, I hope you keep us updated with the progress. Also, those treats look great, Anna! Thanks for sharing, and have a nice day!

  5. Sensitive teeth and braces surely doesn’t go together well, but you have various solutions to ease the hassle. For this, nothing compares to a well-put oral hygiene routine. Always remind your sweet Bryce to keep up with her brushing and flossing to avoid the risk of tartar buildup and exposed nerves (which contributes to the sensitivity further). I wish you and your daughter all the best!
