Traveling with Friends

On our recent vacation, we had a unique situation in that we were vacationing with friends for the majority of the time.  It was so, so fun for us and the children.

Our first week, we were in a rented house with good friends (we've vacationed together before) from our town.  Our second week, we met Jack and Kathleen's family in Acadia, and even though we were in separate accomadations, we spent the vast majority of our time together.

One of the things that I find truly astounding is that I can't think of a single time for the entire two weeks where the children had issues with each other (that's not counting siblings! Ha!).  The children had tons of fun, laughed a lot and genuinely enjoyed spending time with their friends.  Which, of course, allowed us to enjoy spending time with our friends!  It was a win-win situation!
