Trough Sink

When we first renovated the children's bathroom we installed a trough sink with two faucets.  I'd seen a similar sink in a magazine and thought it was a brilliant idea for a shared bathroom.  Of course, I also loved the look of it!  However, I was unsure how the reality of the sink would play out and whether or not the sink would be as fabulous as I thought.  I'm happy to report that the sink has lived up to all my expectations!  The children love having their "own" side and I love that it's easy to use.

Recently, I changed the wallpaper in the bathroom (pictures tomorrow!) and I also painted the underside of the sink.  The original sink came with a matte black underside, and I've been hesitant to paint it (sort of how I'm always hesitant to paint brick!?!).

But paint it I did and I love how it turned out.  It makes the sink look fresh and happy.

I love it in the lighter color! My kids would love that sink too. They wouldn't have to wait for the other to brush thier teeth. Awesome.

would you mind sharing where you found/ordered your sink? I've been on the search for quite some time. I love your blog!

The white looks more finished. Good decision. Could you send me some of your extra energy?

The sink is by Kohler and is called Brockway. Here is the link to it on Home Depots website: http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=100017098&storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&ci_sku=100017098&ci_kw={keyword}&kwd={keyword}&cm_mmc=shopping-_-googleads-_-pla-_-100017098&ci_gpa=pla

Where did you get the faucets? We are going to order the trough sink, but were somewhat dissappointed in the appearance to the faucets that go with it. We'd love to get some like yours!!!

Hello Pegk- We got the faucet online. I didn't care for the finish on the kohler faucet- it was too industrial for me. This faucet is by Chicago Faucets (I believe it is the 225-261CP). Definitely do a google search because the prices can really vary. Also, when we purchased they were offering different handle styles and that's how we got the white with lettering. Hopefully, they still do because I think it's charming!

I used Benjamin Moore flat pait for the sink. It was just regular paint and it's done great! Hope that helps!
