Funk

I've been in a bit of a funk lately.  For the past week I've had a terrible cold and can't seem to shake it, our winter seems determined to hold on a bit longer, and I haven't been inspired to get anything done!  To top it off, it is our spring break and we haven't done anything- at home or otherwise!  However, I'm determined to sort myself out and get back in the spirit of things! Our Cherry tree that has started blooming is helping to lift my spirits!  Do you ever get in a funk?  If so, what do you do to lift yourself out of it?

  1. I am in the same funk! Maybe it is in the change of season or something? The back and forth weather is really frustrating, not warm enough to actually plant flowers. grrr.

  2. I personally think funks are good! Your a super mom, and sometimes doing nothing is healthy...recovery time! Don't worry... enjoy the down time, love those kids and hubby..and let everything come together on it's own!
When I'm in a funk, I love it! It's a change of pace for everyone! Have a great Spring Break...just relaxing! =)

  3. Anna, it's just the ebb and flow of life--just give yourself time and it will go away, no big deal. If you think of all of the demands we put on ourselves to always be "doing", the best thing somtimes is just "being". Right now sounds like that time for you--just give in to it, relax, let the children just entertain themselves, and you'll have your "groove" back in no time...

  4. Sometimes trying to get out of the funk, makes u sink further. I also think time is the answer. Something unexpected will come up, and all of a sudden the funk will be gone.

  6. I am so glad you were honest to admit that you have down time. I have been in the same "funk" for way too long. I have been super encouraged by the comments left by your readers. I really needed to hear that it is ok to have down time especially being that I am married to a workaholic. THANK YOU!
