Happy Summer everyone! Tonight, to celebrate the summer solstice and the official start of summer, we read a book in the garden. The Longest Day by Wendy Pfeffer explains what the summer solstice is and gives examples of how different cultures celebrate the day. It also has a few activities for celebrating.

What a great way to celebrate the solstice! One year we were in Alaska...that was so neat!

Garden of the Gods had a Solstice gathering, but alas, we did not go. Maybe next year. Glad you made it special in your family.
